Started the day by walking from the Annexe to Lunds Tower. The last 500 m are a bit of a stiff climb. Would have been easier had I not taken a short cut straight up the hill. The view from the top is wonderful.
It's a pity that the steps are full of loose leaves and dirt. If I had had a stick with me I would have scraped the worst of it away. Otherwise it seems well maintained.
The next stop was Sutton Park, Sutton in Craven. A pleasant and well kept municipal park with a bowling green.
It also has a tea room. Made the mistake of asking for coffee. So now I'm having the worst cup of instant coffee I have had in half a lifetime, she didn't even stir it. Had to put milk in it to take the edge of it. The sausage roll is very nice though.
