On my way to Keighley. Charging my car at Telford services so I can decide on a whim to take detours on the way. Stopped at the Reboot Hub in Madely to buy a cheap mouse because the keyboard on my ThinkPad is getting really bad the G key has fallen off and won't go back on, the H and up arrow keys are about to do the same, and Page Down has simply stopped working. I bought a full size wired keyboard at another charity shop a few weeks ago but found that having to reach for the track pad was awkward.

Stopped at Trentham Gardens to charge again, this time rather more because I've remembered that in the Manchester area quite a few of the Tesla chargers are owned by other companies and don't qualify for free charging. So I need to keep an eye on the state of charge and the easiest way is to always charge so that I can get to my destination and back to the same charger.

And the Trentham Gardens shopping area is pleasant to walk around

Here's today's outfit

I'm glad I don't live near Manchester, the traffic is awful.

I'm at Birch services charging, yes again. I stopped at the Fickle Mermaid to top up but my list showing which ones are not genuine Tesla seems out of date because it's an EV on the move charger. So I made a note and skipped it. If I charge fully here then in theory I can get to the place I've rented and back, so I'll do that in case the charger at Bradford turns out to not be free. Bradford is not the shortest route but it is the charge that is nearest the accommodation so I'll go that way. According to my list it and the Hartshead Moor chargers that are near it should both be free.

I wonder how many chargers Tesla will sell to third parties? It's tempting to think they're doing it to get out of the obligation to provide free charging but that seems a bit silly as free charging was only ever available to Model S and X and only for a couple of years and they remove it from any cars sold back to them in a part exchange deal. So it must be a very small proportion of the Tesla fleet.

Now I'm in Charlotte's Chocolates having a mocha with dark chocolate and a Bakewell frangipani.

The café is at the entrance to the Cavendish Arcade in Buxton.

@ninalanyon Ulverston will be good if the weather's kind and hopefully enough accommodation for the visitors

As I was walking up Devonshire hill in Buxton on my way back to my car a pretty young blonde woman said to me "You're looking gorgeous."

I smiled and said thank you. And she said you're welcome with a lovely smile.

I would have complimented her too but she was with a woman who looked like she could be her mother. I'm never sure how to react and more people make me even less certain.

On the way back to my car at Trentham Gardens I spotted a decorated swing. The last time I was there there was a notice saying don't sit on it but today there was not. So I did
