My favourite place to get a pot of tea is The Divine Coffee Shop on Haydn Road, off Mansfield Road in Nottingham.

Having tea and a toasted teacake.

@ninalanyon 6 dollars. Not too bad.
Oh I just saw this is in Nottingham. I thought it was too pretty and artsy to be here in the States.

@ninalanyon
oh yeah. The City of oaks.
They do have lots of parks and museums and artsy foody places. Especially by the University.

@CurrentName Yes, I had some very good food in Raleigh and my children and wife enjoyed the museums. But I was thinking of things like public statuary out on the street. What little there was seemed to be almost entirely war memorials of one kind or another.

I remember once in the office where I was working showing colleagues photographs of sculptures in the small town where I live in Norway. When I got to a bronze female nude I was abruptly told to get it off the screen in case someone reported it to HR!

@ninalanyon wtf really?
Well yeah. Here you have to watch the direction you fart lest someone reports you to HR for invasion of personal space.
War statues and things yes, that too.
You should come deeper in the South that's were the good statues are!!!
What can you do? Those guys Made America Great then!
Next time you show the naked lady statue, Photoshop a little bald eagle somewhere in the picture and youll be ok.

How much did you pay for that?
CurrentName · 51-55, MNew
@CurrentName I was just curious. Wondered how much s place like that would charge for a bagel and a cup of hot water.
ninalanyon · 70-79, TVIP
@CurrentName The tea and tea cake? That was 4.65 GBP (6.26 USD, 5.39 EUR)
Your profile doesn't give away your location so I'm not sure which currency conversion would be appropriate :-)

This is my last day in Nottingham. Off to Wolverhampton to get Tesla to investigate the repeated warnings the car is giving. They say they should be able to fix it on the day but I've booked in to a bed and breakfast place within walking distance for a couple of nights just in case.

Then on Friday to a cottage in Coalbrookdale for two weeks.

Have to get up early in the morning so I'm going to bed early, sweet dreams all.
