TIL: As you may not or may know..Roman statues were not white..they were rained upon,buried whatever..they were actually very colored,like pastels,almost embarrassingly so,even the Emperors were like cheap hoes

It might have remained unknown except when the shone some ultra violet light on the subjects and were able to reconstruct exactly how they appeared originally..they exhibited them..museum curators were in a state between laughter and mortification..theres more..
An art historian,one Johann Joachim Winckelmann knew better,as he had had read the ancient sources....but he thought white was the the superior color😳
