Just got back to my hotel after a long meander through the centre of Nuneaton. Stopped at Lidl on the way to buy a snack for the evening. As I was waving my chicken pie over the scanner the young woman supervising the self checkouts walked over and asked if I needed any help, perhaps I was being a bit slow. I said no and that everything was fine and then she said "You look fabulous are you going anywhere special?" to which I replied "No, just enjoying the sunshine."

I think that people have the wrong idea about special events and clothes. Instead of waiting for a special event to occur to justify wearing something special or simply eye catching do it the other way about: wear the special clothes and that makes the occasion special even if it is just a stroll around Lidll!

Today's outfit is a green blouse tied under the bodice and a turquoise miniskirt

Well, I've just put on a short top an miniskirt. So my navel is visible. Unfortunately so is the fact that I seem to have put on a little fat since I last wore the outfit. I'd beter cut down a bit on the calories.

Here's the same top with a different skirt last August. I'll show today's bulge later.

In the Lord Hop micro pub having a cheese and onion roll and a pint of blonde ale

No draught cider despite it saying Real Ciders in large letters on the window.

I think I should move my car to a different part of the car park so that it's in the shade. But first I'd better get shaved and dressed. Going out in just a hat, bra, and thong might cause comment.
