Took the 68 bus in to Bedford this morning. It takes a very circuitous route so it takes a bit longer than driving. but of course you don't have to drive around searching for a parking space. And it meant I got a view of suburban Bedford. Lots of 1960s semis much like any other southern English town of similar size.
As we were getting close the bus station, about a kilometre away, I spotted a big Sue Ryder shop so I got off at the next stop. Bought a colourful bracelet and a sparkly necklace that I'm wearing as an ankle chain.
Now I'm in the Popins café where I've just had a steak and kidney pie and a pot of tea. Just what I wanted on this slightly chilly morning. Proper hot food.
Today's outfit is my red jacket with the Next leopard print skirt that I bought yesterday in the Kempston RSPCA charity shop for a pound. The waistband is folded over once and pinned with safety pins, I'll et around to sewing it one day.
I wonder if I'm not eating enough, or the right things, or if I'm anaemic. For quite a while now, since before Christmas, I've felt that I never quite get up to speed. Or perhaps age is finally catching up with me. I'll get my doctor to check when I get back to Norway in September.
