Having breakfast at IKEA Aarhus (Denmark), my least favourite IKEA. It has screens for ordering instead of counters loaded with dishes and then you have to wait for you number to show on the screen. So even though there were only half a dozen people ordering it took five times longer for me to get my frokost tallerken (breakfast plate) as it does at IKEA Slependen (Norway).

Yesterday was nearly a disaster. When I got back to my car after visiting the Skaperverket cafe in Tonsberg I saw that the rear number plate was missing from my car! It occurred to me straightaway that this would be an explanation for a clattering noise that I heard in the car wash. So I drove as fast as I could back to the car wash, a half hour drive in the wrong direction again. When I got there I saw that there was a car in there and two waiting. There is also a car valeting service in the same area so I went there to ask if they were also responsible for the automatic car wash, of course they were not and couldn't help. So I waited for the wash to finish and the car to drive out and nipped in before the exit door closed, found my number plate and the plastic holder it was attached to lying on the floor. It was lucky that there was another car waiting because I don't know how I would have got out. Jus as I picked up the number plate the entrance doors opened and I walked out to surprised looks from the occupants of the car; I waved the number plate at them and got pair of broad grins in return.

No pictures of today's outfit because it' the same as yesterday's. A disadvantage of packing all my clothes in one overstuffed and heavy suitcase is that having forgotten to lay out clothes last night I had to get dressed first this morning and couldn't be bothered to heave the suitcase out to get another skirt.

Finished breakfast, time to get on the road and see if I can get to IKEA Hamburg-Schnelsen for tea.

I've just received a message from my UK bank saying that my debit card expires at the end of the next month and that they are sending me a new one. This is both useful and annoying. Useful because it is being sent to an address in the UK which means I can pick it up there, annoying for the same reason. It's my sister's address and as I think I mentioned last year we have had a massive falling out, all my fault. So now I'll have to contact her and ask if I can visit to collect it. That's not going to be comfortable for either of us.

I'd better make arrangements for the next one to be delivered elsewhere, preferable to my home in Norway. And I'd better set myself a calendar item to ask for the next one to be issued at a time when I'm still in Norway.
