The clouds have thinned and I can see some scraps of blue. So I'll go for a walk and try to keep at it for a bit longer today.

Walked towards the north end of the village today. Here's what the skerries on southern end of the inner fjord look like.

The construction that looks like a little hut is a navigation light. It's on the end of the skerry.

@ninalanyon Lovely scenery but it looks bleak, cold and very inhospitable.

What's that structure on the left in the second photo? The main section looks like a slipway but with no boat-house at its head, and I can't see what the smaller section does.

It's a small floating dock with pontoons for mooring small boats, small cabin cruisers, etc. So you had the right general idea.

The actual air temperature was quite reasonable, about -8 C I think but there was a fairly stiff northerly breeze giving a 'feels like' temperature probably more like -16 C and my hands became unpleasantly cold just in the minute or so that it took to take those pictures. The rest of me was cosy inside that coat which is windproof and lined with a sort of dense short pile fake fur.
