Today's must do task is to repair a tear in a duvet cover. But before I do that I'll get the bread machine started.

I've done a tiny bit of exercise so far too:
- press ups: 4
- squats: 20
- sit ups: 6
- squat thrusts: 6

Edit 16:37: just did five more press ups. Doesn't seem to be getting any easier, perhaps i need to do it for more than a couple of days :-)

I can't criticise uour exercising as mine is not going well. Somehoe aqquired bursitis in my left elbow back in early December and it's still a problem and painful. The flu type bug that laid me low over Hogmanay has kept me out of the gym. And just to cheer me up I've had a very, very painful flare up of my Gout. It's improved, but still limping, Ibuprofen and loads of lemon juice has helped. The loads of lemon juice means I'm doing a lot of limping to the bathroom to relief the bladder pressure!. Fingers crossed ghings improve.

Nb I'llnot bore you on my cataract examination and , hopefully, soon operation. And there's also the daughter's wedding at the start of April.

@22Michelle Ouch! You seem to have been hit with a whole raft of things all at once. I confess I don't even know what bursitis is and how does lemon juice help with gout?

Good luck with the cataracts, the very idea of someone operating on my eyes makes me feel quite queasy!

@ninalanyon Bursitis is swelling in the elbow. Lemon juice does seem to help, but a lot of it is just drinking loads of juice and water to flush out the Uric Acid.
As for the cataract I'm not looking forward to it, but right eye is getting to be a real problem. And yes since mid November I seem to be hitting just about every bug, injury, household problem that can happen.

I've just finished fixing a tear in the duvet. Unfortunately it's not the tear i first intended to fix. When I looked for the tear I actually found two about 100 mm apart. then I put the duvet down to fetch my sewing box. Then I couldn't find those two tears again! But I found another one so I fixed that. Time for a cup of tea and a slice of banana tea bread then I'll hint for the other two!

Today's outfit is just something casual I threw on

I'm wearing the earrings and necklace that i bought with the gold top a few days ago

I'm pretty sure that the earring should not go that far through my earlobe!

Forgot to post the evidence that I fixed the tears in my duvet cover :-)

So here you can see my atrocious sewing 'skills':

@ninalanyon Atrocious indeed, but still far better than I could manage!

@22Michelle It seems silly to buy new when the only person who ever sees my bed is me. When sheets get too worn I salvage the usable parts and make pillow cases out of them. They look a bit better because even though my backstitch isn't much better than my darning it looks better because you can't actually see it!

@ninalanyon I find I'm having to resist slipping into my father's attitude of "why bother" so I do still try to make an effort, even though it's only me that seems to care.
