Nina's Blog - Monday 12th January 2026

Monday 12th January 2026, 14:20

Total cloud cover and very gentle snowfall with a gentle northerly breeze today. The weather forecast say -9 C but the thermometer by my front door says -11 C.

Today's outdoor outfit is a green Norwegian made coat with a detachable hood. I think this is the first time for several years that I have worn it with the hood. The scarf is my wife's university scarf. I never bought one of my own and this is the first time that I have worn hers, for some reason it just didn't feel right before.

Yeah, rough to wear a dress in weather like that!
Very hard to stay warm!

@RockinPop54 Not at all. The coat is windproof. Under the coat I was wearing a jumper with a sleeveless top under it and a lace skirt with a light underskirt and medium weight winter tights

@ninalanyon Understood. Here in New Jersey it usually doesn't get THAT cold, but still, with the things I wear (panties, pantyhose, knee-length half slip & full slip, equal length skirt & blouse) it would be hard for me to stay warm.
Besides, I am a "deep in the closet" crossdresser & I only dress in the privacy of my own home when my wife is away.

@RockinPop54 If you wear a full slip under a long skirt and winter tights/pantyhose with a long woollen coat like the one I wore today you would be fine. My skirt today is lace and is mostly holes, no slip but the skirt has a sewn in lining/underskirt and I felt fine.

My biggest problem today was that I had to take my right mitten off to take the pictures and my hand got rather cold very quickly!

It's a pity you have to be in the closet because being out is so much more enjoyable. I felt so much better when I came out, as though a weight had been lifted from me. But I do understand that it's easier for me than for many others because I'm widowed and I live in a tolerant part of the world.
@ninalanyon My family is very well know in our area & people around here aren't very understanding when it comes to crossdressing.
If my secret should be revealed, it would RUIN my family's reputation!
Not to mention that my wife HATES that I have a feminine side & the need to dress feminine on occasion in order to let that side out, she wants me to be 100% male 100% of the time.
