AT IKEA again. Not because I have any good reason just that I realized this morning that I needed to charge my car at a Tesla charger to avoid having to plug it in to my own supply and actually pay for it. IKEA is only ten minutes drive from the charger and it occurred to me that I haven't ad a napoleonskake since May! So here it is:

The couple (short bloke in a colourful tee-shirt and jacket, tall grey haired handsome woman in dark but stylish clothes, both in their sixties I think) at the next table got up to leave a moment ago. As they were passing my table the man turned to me and said something like "antrekken dine er så flott og gjennomtenkt". Roughly translated that's "Your outfit is great and thoughtfully put together"! Flott is difficult to translate. It's not exactly great, perhaps suitable, fitting, or just so but with a very definite meaning of approval rather than neutrality.

So as I've said before: if you are a cross-dresser or indeed any other variety of human being drag the good stuff out of your wardrobe and wear it in public. Don't wait for that elusive dressing up occasion; they only come once in a while but you can go for a well dressed walk anytime.

The rush I feel when complimented, especially by a someone who is accompanied by a good looking well dressed woman, leaves me smiling all day.

This is what he saw, I guess he also saw me wearing the jacket as I came in because they were here first:

Seen in the Guardian today:
No prosecutions made after 15,195 wood-burning complaints in a year in England

Campaigners say figures reveal a lack of enforcement with just 24 fines issued by councils for rule violations

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/oct/22/only-one-prosecution-wood-burning-complaints-year-england

What's the point in fining people anyway? Surely a better penalty would be to require that either the chimney be permanently blocked or that a better burner be installed. And of course a follow up to check that it has been done before a court specified deadline.

Just fining people simply makes it a cost of using the wood burner so well off people will continue doing it because the fine is insignificant and poor people will continue doing it because they are now even poorer.

Today's outfit is a red flared skirt, red suede jacket, red hat (I don't know the name of this style), a very nice jumper that my mother-in-law knitted many years ago for my wife. dark red suede ankle boots with 5 cm heels.
