I decided that I'd like to listen to BBC R4 on my laptop, But I'd rather not use a web page to do it when I have Rhythmbox which is a perfectly usable internet radio player.

But the BBC does not publish the addresses of the streams; they do share the with commercial entities that make and sell hardware players. After some web searching I finally found this web page:

List of BBC radio stream URLs
https://en.everybodywiki.com/List_of_BBC_radio_stream_URLs

I did find a lot of other pages that list BBC stream URLs but this was the only one that worked. It was last updated only a couple of months ago.

The battery in my old Moto G5+ is now so bad that I can't take a thirty second video with it once I unplug it from a power bank. That means full length selfies are essentially impossible. So I use my camera instead but that's tedious to unload to my ChromeBook and impossible to unload to my mobile. In addition extracting frames is a nuisance. So no pictures of today's outfit, my orange dress, until I get back to my room and can use my Linux laptop. No scenery pictures either for the same reason.

The first thing I'll have to do when I get home is order a new mobile!
