A very pleasant day in France. Helped with a little bit of gardening, fetching and carrying of logs from the parcel of forest that belongs to my friends' house, lots of pleasant conversation setting the world to rights and lamenting the current states of our common mother country and the US, Ukraine, Russia, etc.
And we exchanged a few more observations about trans-ness, etc. I'm so glad I came because now I have finally discussed my situation with people who knew me before this all happened. In one case someone who has known me for well over fifty years. And I am accepted. It's not that I had any real worry that I would not be, after all he has a gay son of whom he is immensely proud. But it is nonetheless comforting to have ones assumptions positively confirmed, another set of t-s crossed and i-s dotted.
They have visitors arriving on Friday so I'll start wending my way back to Norway tomorrow. Perhaps via Luxembourg.
