Managed to check out from the Student Village with ten minutes to spare. Headed for Gloucester Services, the fancy place with high priced food and drink for sale in the shop and fairly decent food in the cafe. I still miss the old days of Welcome Break when you could get a proper pot of tea of a cafetiere of Douwe Egberts coffee.
I've just had a call from my brother in law saying that my scatterbrained sister wants to meet in Cheltenham today. But of course I'm not there. so we've agreed to meet in Bristol which is at about the same distance for her and on my route to Devon.
So the fateful day has arrived and I'm feeling very nervous. Is this dress suitable? Or should I wear a sensible skirt and a jumper? I'll find my M&S crop top to reduce the size of my fake tits of course.
Also this means that I'll be meeting my brother in law too. Not a problem, he's quite broad minded as far as I can tell.
But no amount of rational thought quiets my animal brain's feeling of panic. It's quite ridiculous, I didn't feel this nervous last August when I went home to my sons in a skirt.
Still at Gloucester Services, no point in rushing to Bristol. I've changed my bra so now I have the crop top with only the padding it came with. It's enough to be obvious that something is there without being too obvious.
Just got to Gordano to charge my car again after lunch with my sister and her husband in a pub in Chepstow.
She didn't remark on my dress or lipstick at all just nattered on about her own troubles. Fair enough really, after all she's the one with the life threatening condition.
So that's done. Next time I'll have slightly bigger breasts and a shorter skirt.
@turbineman40 It's what we call a motorway services here. This one is a small chain. I think they have only three locations. All three are far better places to eat and drink in than the other chains. They also have shops attached that sell high priced locally made food and drink as well as clothing and some household articles.
But you can't buy a book, a newspaper, or a bar of chocolate there.
I still pine for the heyday of British motorway services when you could buy newspaper, compose your own breakfast from a buffet, and get a proper pot of tea or a cafetiere of Douwe Egbert coffee
