Nina's Blog - Friday 22nd August 2025

I've just had an unexpected experience.

I went to the gents in the Lower Precinct shopping centre in Coventry just now. It's by the entrance to the market.

I was just finishing adjusting my skirt, making sure it wasn't caught up in my thong, and ferreting in my handbag for lipstick when I heard a voice outside the cubicle. It wasn't shouting but it was clearly meant to be heard throughout the facility. It said something like "This is a men only toilet women are not allowed here".

As I came out of the cubicle the man with the voice was standing just beside it dressed in some official looking security person uniform. So I said to him "If you are referring to me I'm in the right place and wouldn't dare go to the ladies loo in the current legal climate.". He looked slightly embarrassed and said he'd just got a radio call about a woman going into the gents. I said I was flattered that the mistake had been made. He said something like no problem and left, not exactly in a rush but nearly.

So is there a monitored camera covering the entrance to the loos or did a member of the public complain?

I was wearing a hat and lipstick but I didn't have sunglasses or any other makeup on so anyone seeing my face should surely have seen that it's not very feminine.

Something I always notice when I am in the UK is not just the amount of litter but also how unkempt a lot of public spaces are. On my winding walk from the hotel to the centre of town I passed lots of litter and lots of public buildings and parks that just needed a bit of maintenance.

One instance was the Garden of International Friendship

I filled this bag with bottles, cans and plastic bags while walking around this quite small garden. There was plenty of smaller litter left.

And here we see a wall that surely would not take much effort to fix.

I'm in the Cacao café having a pulled pork and mozzarella panini and a mocha.

The jeans clad legs you can see at the top of the picture belong to a pair of young people, girl and boy in their late teens or early twenties I suppose. They have been in animated conversation since I walked into the cafe half an hour ago. I can't remember ever seeing two people smile so much, and so unaffectedly. I don't know if they are a couple or just good friends; I can't make out what they are saying.

I'm tempted to take a picture but that would be impolite.

Today I started out by walking away from the centre to the canal a few hundred metres away from the canal basin.

Here's the view looking towards the canal basin from the bridge I use to cross over the canal

Then looking the other way and back to the side i came from

The Canal and Waterways Trust is holding some sort of fishing event

There are plenty of very new buildings along the canal that weren't there when we visited by boat over twenty years ago

And finally looking back at the foot bridge from which those pictures were taken

Had a visitor early this evening. We agreed on him arriving at 18:00 but he arrived early and texted me at about 17:35. I had just put my stockings on and just had to slip on my heels and go out to meet him in the car park.

He brought a quite sexy maid's outfit, stockings, suspenders, heels, and wig with him and changed in my bathroom.
We had a very pleasant time although he seems a bit reticent regarding kissing and sucking so I ended up doing most of the work. Still it was nice to get to fuck someone for a change. We'll meet again on Sunday.

He was extravagant in his praise for how I looked and was dressed. Here's the outfit I was wearing

Canals have lots of bridges. This one is fairly typical and so is the tagging. I quite like the picture I took even though the tagging is unimaginative and ugly

As I came out from under the bridge I noticed this cast iron pole. The grooves are presumably cut by tow ropes

Still water always tempts me into taking pictures of the reflection

This part of the canal is right inside the city but from the right angle looks almost like rainforest

Here's today's outfit. When I went to the loo I had taken off the jacket

Further along the canal is a high fence that has been carefully painted to look less stark and industrial

Behind the fence are transformers and other high voltage gear.

The sign says 132 kV but there are no overhead cables, no pylons, so i wondered where the cables were. It turns out that they are in a trench under the towpath

A short way further on is an older brick wall, you can see it in the fishing picture. It has a lot of what I think is officially allowed painting
