I've been driving everywhere in the last few days and neglecting to walk. So today I decided that I really should see a bit more of Leigh. I've taken a very circuitous route from the Greyhound to the Tea Junction where I'm having a small breakfast with a mug of tea.
Vert good value at 4 GBP.

@ninalanyon you have managed to find a lot round Leigh and Pennington flash and some nice gardens and waterways , must get around more and visit these places
@skimpyboy I find something worth photographing almost everywhere. Even a derelict bomb site will have flowering plants.
Leigh is actually much more attractive than my first impressions. But it is definitely a place that is struggling, or at least has a substantial number of people who are. The centre has more than the usual number of charity shops, disused buildings, etc.
@ninalanyon must have a trip to Leigh and go in a few charity shops and see if they have any nice outfits, pleased to see your enjoying yourself and getting plenty of pics
@skimpyboy I didn't find anything I wanted in the charity shops but they have a lot of stuff and they seem a bit cheaper than in other places. I did buy a very short skirt in a clothes shop that is closing down. Couldn't try it on but it was only 1.99 GBP so worth the risk
Perhaps we need such long-winded notices here because so many people are too bloody-mindedly lazy to thinkm to act responsibly, to respect their surroundings... though I suppose they are also the least likely to read such notices!
Same sort of minds whose paint-spraying has so disfigured that bridge.
