Checking out soon to drive to Whitley Bay where I'll stay a night because the next place is a cottage that only allows check-ins on Fridays. While I'm their I'll visit Spanish City and sit in the Champagne Bar thinking of @oldundieslover.

I have fallen far behind in posting my pictures and notes, I think at least the last three days are incomplete. I'm hoping that renting a cottage will give me an incentive to stay in a little more, perhaps I'll catch up then. And I'll be able to cook for myself too.

Got to Whitley Bay a couple of hours ago. WiFi not working in my room so I've had to resort to a cafe :-)

In Cafe Thirteen which like so many in the north of England is actually a licensed bar as well.

Just had a quite reasonable mocha and a couple of slices of sourdough toast with butter and jam

Not many pictures of scenery today because I've been travelling and anyway I'm in more of a selfie mood. But here's a picture of the Champagne Bar in the Spanish City

I changed out of the floaty summer dress into one of my favourites but you can't really see it in this picture because it's taken against the light and my mobile camera isn't that good

There are several park benches outside Spanish City with names of fairground rides on them. At least that's what I think they might be, some don't sound right.

@turbineman40 It turns out that it' a ground floor flat (apartment). Clean and comfortable.
