Just time to upload a few more pictures before I head over the road for the bus. After the lake I walked up to Monk Coniston.

From the pipes around the walls I think that this must have been a hothouse




There are foxgloves everywhere in these woods


No idea what this plant is or why it is important enough to protect

@meggie It reminded me a little of home although Cumbria is greener and the hills rounder and less jagged. Perhaps Norway will be more like this if the temperature continues to rise.

@ninalanyon i think everywhere is changing, and we will be able to grow things that once our climate was too cold for. I listened to an item on Radio 4 recently that mentioned this. I planted pumpkins a few months ago, and they are thriving with all this hot weather.

@meggie It's good for some kinds of agriculture in the north. But I read somewhere recently that some part of France are already too hot and unpredictable for winemaking.

@ninalanyon i believe it. My tomato plants are so big that I can stand under the shade of them.
