Stopped at Carnforth for a snack on the way to the Tesla charger at Tebay.
The town looks pleasant enough. Visited three charity shops almost bought a skirt but it was oddly proportioned tight around the legs (good) but loose around the waist (not good).
Not many cafés but eventually I found the Brief Encounter Refreshment Room. Carnforth station is where the film was made.
Having what was described as a toasted roast beef and blue cheese ciabatta and a mocha.
I don't recommend either, the ciabatta looks and tastes as though it was assembled and then put in a hot oven rather than the contact grill I would have expected and the chocolate syrup in the mocha is far too sweet.
The guy who took my order needs a lesson in customer service. When I ordered he brusquely asked me for the table number and when I pointed at a table and said I didn't know the number he irritably said the numbers are on every table. And so it was but I couldn't see it as it was hidden by all the used crockery.
It looks like they are trying to serve too many tables with too few people both in the kitchen and serving; I've just heard the waitress apologizing for a woman having to wait and saying that she should have been told when she ordered that there would be a longer than usual wait. The same waitress apologized to me for taking so long to deliver my mocha but I didn't mind that because it meant that I at least still had half a cup when the food arrived.
A group of three people are trying to order sandwiches now and being told that there is no chicken, no beef, and no jacket potatoes. It's still only 13:18.
Perhaps it all goes with the 1940s theme.

Arrived in Ulverston about an hour ago and checked in to the Sun Inn. The man who checked me in (barman/landlord) asked if I was looking forward to the events of the weekend and said they were putting on a big do. I didn't understand what he was talking about until as I was strolling around the town I noticed a poster in a window saying that it was Ulverston Pride on Saturday! When I checked online it seems that the Sun is at the centre of things and running the official Pride after party! He must have thought that was why I was here.

At Tebay services charging for the trip to Ulverston. No Tesla chargers there so I need to make sure I have enough charge to get there and back with enough extra for unforseen circumstances.
The satnav took me on a long winding trip along narrow country lanes to get across the motorway from north bound to south bound. I'm sure it wasn't like that last time I was here. I shall have to take a closer look at the map before coming here again, especially if I have to do it in the dark.

I'm at the Tesla supercharger station at Chorley. But it's actually branded (EV OTM) - Matrix, UK.
What's going on? Is Tesla getting out of the charging business? If so how will that affect my car's free supercharging?

@ninalanyon Just got a message in the Tesla app informing me that the charger at Chorley is not eligible for free supercharging but that as it's the first time that Tesla will waive the charge. There doesn't seem to be any way to the satnav to show only Tesla owned chargers so I'll have to make sure I check.
