Did a little shopping that took ages. I didn't think it would be so difficult to find a red thong but I visited eight clothes shops of which only two had red thongs. Finally got one in New Look.
Then I tried using Open Street Map to find a café. That took a while too partly because I'm choosy but also because all those with promising names seem to be closed or have been transmuted into some kind of restaurant.
And now I'm in Leah's Bistro which isn't even on the map but was encountered en route.
Had an excellent mocha and a very nice slice of cake. The mocha was in a glass too!
I didn't notice until the cake was almost finished that it had little golden decorations
This is a very pleasant café but it has a piano and it's being played. I'm not a great fan of what is euphemistically called easy listening music so I was glad that he played a Chopin piece.

In the Craft Brewed pub for the third time. My favourite pub/café in Maidstone. Having a pint of very nice dry cider and a beef brisket sandwich.
Forgot to mention the first time I was here that the password for the WiFi is Norway17. It commemorates the place and year the proprietors had their honeymoon :-)
Everywhere I go I see and hear references to Norway. I do wonder what it is that makes the place so visible and so popular. Of course it could simply be that I am primed to notice such references rather than, for instance, references to Germany; but it doesn't feel like it.
Oh Ronnie, just when I was sitting here thinking that the only thing missing that would make this moment perfect was you the background music started playing Sultans of Swing. I'm such an emotional girl I almost burst into tears.
Time for some selfies. It's fairly breezy today and I'm wearing a very light short dress. I suspect that a few people will have seen more of me than expected but of course when I tried to take pictures the weather wouldn't cooperate. So here I am attempting and mostly failing to be naughty
@turbineman40 It was. The cake was very good and the mocha was the best I've had so far on this trip. Not quite as good as Lasix in Canterbury but close. And it was properly presented in a glass with a long handled spoon.
