🎵 Haven't Got Time For The Pain🎵

Been a crap week.
Went off Mounjaro at 7.5 dosage.
I took it Monday and threw up for two days and couldn't eat much.(which has thrown off my good blood sugar levels for 4 days now)
When, I did manage to eat anything it either came back up or it tasted disgusting no matter what I tried to eat.
Perhaps, you lose weight by starvation?
I'm still nauseous,but it's lessening now.
One of the side effects can be DKA,which I wasn't aware of.
I had that once,so no thanks to it again.
Never again.
Sorry, thin, but sick all the time doesn't sound very healthy to me.
Suppose to feel good when your healthy.
I still waiting for insurance to pay for labs as it was 3 weeks and not two,as I thought.
I hope whatever happens the endocrinologistest can figure out a good treatment for my diabetes whether it's Diabities type 2 or Diabities type 1.
For me it seems only the insulin helps.
She's talked about putting me on metformin,if I'm type 2, but that's another drug that causes GI and can cause DKA
Are they trying to kill me? 🙄
Anyway, hoping next week goes better.

I'm type 2 and only do fast and slow insulin now. I started out with metformin but got interested in herbal treatment from a book called reversing diabetes. Well it worked for about a year and a half then I had to keep increasing dosages to a point I determined it wasn't good for my health. It's long story how I got where I am and I wouldn't recommend my diet to anyone diabetic but I'm keeping my A1C controlled with the insulin. The only downfall for all US diabetics is that Levemir is no longer available here. It is superior to all it's replacements. My slow acting insulin is now Lantus which I have to use triple the dose to get the same control.

@Gibbon I think diabetes is very hard to control, but if you had a medicine that worked it does seem odd they would discontinue it.
It also seems odd that they would give things to a patient that they know can cause dka if they already had s DKA incident?

@Justmeraeagain Levemir is no longer available in the US because of manufacturing problems and demand issues.
Before regaining control of my blood sugar levels I was all over the place and my A1C was over 12 however I never had a ketosis incident. I don't know why some are more suseptable then others. It might be what's causing the diabetes. We are all different and my wasn't traditional onset. It was caused by chemo damaging my pancreas. It literally came about over a weeks time 20 years ago.
I don't know why your doctor doesn't stick with insulin. I'm not going to be a guinea pig for these new drugs they have coming out for multiple uses. All of them have questionable side effects.
Metformin is over used as well. It has its own long term use negatives.

@Gibbon I'm not one to just do as doctor says anymore,I push back if I think it's in my best interest
I'm sorry all of that happened to you.
