Nina's Blog - Monday 21st April 2025

Monday 21st April 2025, 21:25

Slept badly last night but eventually got to sleep properly at about 05:00. When I woke up it was 11:00!

Last night I promised myself that I'd do session on the elliptical trainer today but by the time I woke up I felt it was too late so I went for what I thought would be a short walk. But then I decided to go in a direction I haven't been for a couple of months and had a very nice walk along the Kyststien (coastal footpath) to the nature reserve observation tower.

For a change I'll mix the scenery shots with the selfies taken along the way.

This is the first picture of the day, looking from the main road towards the fjord across the strawberry field.

Looking back towards the village from the same spot

And here is the first selfie of the day, still only about 10 C so no mini skirt today

And the view to the west from the same place

I think I'll break this post up into several pieces because I took quite a few pictures today.

The coastal path here has the coast on the left (north west side) and an industrial area on the right. Since I walked this way last the patch of land that had most recently been cleared has been tarmacked

A little further along this is the view over the reeds to the fjord. It's very low lying here and shallow water in the fjord and sheltered from the flow of water so the slit has built up and supports a lot of wetland vegetation

Now I've come to the end of the road and the path turns right to continue along closer to the edge of the water. On the corner is a building that proves that industrial buildings do not have to be ugly. But it's not the kind of building that you want next door nonetheless.

Further on on the landward side of the path there are lots of windflowers

And then a lots of lupins

I love the way that water droplets sit on the leaves

Despite it being just about midday the cloud is so dense that it isn't actually very light. Aggravated of course by the poor contrast range of my mobile phone camera. Looking more or less south toward the sun
