🎶 Everything Old Is New Again🎶

Had a meeting with an endocrinologist today.

Have some blood tests coming up in May.

I am back on insulin 4 times a day, which I'm not happy about, but have to admit it keeps the numbers down better.

She said I could have been misdiagnosed as a type 2.

"Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults:

LADA is a type of diabetes that shares characteristics with both type 1 and type 2, where the body gradually loses its ability to produce insulin, but initially, the pancreas still produces some insulin. "

If this is the case, I may be on insulin for the rest of my life.
I'm not jumping to any conclusions.

For now back on the old routine.
2-3 units novolog for meals.
18-20 units of lantus at bedtime.

I am so sorry to hear this. 😢😢😢 I certainly hope you don't have to stay on insulin for life.
