The usual slightly overindulgent Sunday. Made pork and apple burgers, chili ketchup, bread rolls. Drank some pleasant beer and akevitt left over from Christmas. Watched an old Carry On.
Today's outfit, as is fairly usual for a Sunday, is a long skirt. I'm still being demure around family; I'm not sure what I'll do when the weather is warm enough for mini-skirts, bare legs, and thongs.
I heard yesterday that Microsoft is going to close down Skype on 5th May this year. My sister and I use it for voice chat and occasionally video. Does anyone have any recommendation for a replacement that works on Android, Windows, and Linux? I use Google Chat to talk to some friends who only know me as Nina so I would like to use a different tool to talk to family to minimise the risk of mistakenly calling the wrong person from the wrong account which Skype once did.
@meggie I'm sure you are right. What I have found over the last few years is that most of the hindrances to being myself are inside me rather than out in the world. Fear of embarrassment, and perhaps rejection, is a powerful thing even when one is objectively sure that there is nothing to worry about; well it is for me anyway.
