🎶And I'll rise up, I'll rise like the day, I'll rise up, I'll rise unafraid ,I'll rise up, And I'll do it a thousand times again...🎶

My doctor has ordered a new glucose monitor.
You wear it on your arm for two weeks
I'm going Wednesday to be shown how to use it.
I like the idea of not poking my fingers 4 times a day.
But,worried, not being the most graceful person of bumping it up against something and it coming off before the two weeks are over.

I was going to be prescribed a once a week diabetic injectable medicine, but the doctor didn't put in an order for it.
I will get in touch with her maybe the insurance would not cover it?
Or maybe they had to wait for my labs to come back which I did yesterday?

Be glad to get off my short acting insulin it's a pain to have to bring a monitor and your supplies everywhere you go.

So,here's me hoping for things to come together to get off this wretched insulin.

I wore a continuous glucose monitor for a year. You will find it near impossible to ‘bump’ off. It has a super strong adhesive that sticks to skin extremely well.

I loved mine…but my insurance cut me off cause I wasnt on insulin. (Prediabetic).

Im on Ozempic

@LunarOrbit My hope is eventually I won't need to monitor and I will be off the insulin.
Thanks for the reassurance.
I hope you are able to manage this more easily. The monitors are game changers so I hear.
