Elliptical trainer: 18 minutes, 4.38 virtual km, 14.6 kph, 2 144 steps.

Brr, that was cold. My elliptical trainer is in the vindfang (enclosed porch at the front door). The machine has a thermometer in it, no idea why, it said -6.1 C when I started.

Just finished my weekly fire ritual, also known as IPL. After a couple of weeks of cautious optimism I'm now thinking that it might not be having any useful effect. I can't see any difference in the growth of hair on the left, treated, and right, untreated, sides.

But I'll keep at it as I already have the machine and it only takes a few minutes a week.

@ninalanyon what's IPL?

@ninalanyon my hairdresser suggested I should often just rub my sculpt with my fingers and that should strengthen the roots and hair..

@being I don't think anything but a dose of female hormones will do anything to encourage the hair on my head. But the IPL gadget is supposed to stop hair growing and so far there doesn't seem to be any evidence. The intense light pulse is supposed to damage the hair follicles so that they stop producing hair. I'm fed up with shaving and while my legs are not very hairy it has to be done, especially in the spring and autumn when I might be wearing sheer tights. It's not a problem in the winter because then I'm usually wearing thicker darker tights and also long boots so not so much leg is visible. It's also not quite so bothersome in the summer because I am bare legged and barefoot most of the time and somehow the hair is less noticeable than when I'm wearing tights or stockings.

Also I want to wear crop tops and low skirts in the summer so I have to shave my torso as well, that really is tedious.
