Had a slightly irritating start to the day. My car has frameless windows so in cold weather it can be a little tricky getting the doors open because the tops and bottoms of the windows freeze to the rubber seals. Theoretically this is a trivial problem to solve: before going out to the car, perhaps even before getting up for those who take their mobile to bed, just open the Tesla app and tell the car to defrost itself. But today my car seems to be having trouble connecting to the internet via my WiFi so the app could not connect to the car. So I went out in my nightdress and dressing gown to gently open a door. Took a couple of minutes of gentle pulling and pushing to free the front passenger door so that I could get in and turn on the cabin heater.
Now I've disabled the WiFi so that it connects via the mobile network instead and now the app connects.
I must remember to apply some silicone lubricant to the seals to see if it helps prevent the windows sticking.
