Doctor,Doctor Give Me A Clue...

As, I'm researching it makes me sad that diabetics are not more informed by doctors.
There are several ovc medications that can complicate diabetes or lead to insulin resistance.

Sudafed
Peto bismol
Cough syrups
Alka Seltzer
Cough drops
Cough suppressants
Some laxatives
Probably, other stuff I haven't researched. 😐

There is a line of diabetic cough syrups and sf cough drops.
Of course, they're more expensive.
I can have Prilosec for acid in stomach, exlax(not chocolate kind) ,and a certain stool softener I'll have to look back up,again.😐

Since, I have sinus headaches, I had been using Sudafed quite a bit and had no idea.🤔

Now, I look up everything to make sure.

SMH. How hard would it be for providers to have pre-printed lists of OTC meds. to avoid that they hand out to diabetic patients? You'd think this would be done routinely.

It's a shame we have to do our own research on this.

@Rutterman I don't think I've even had a diabetic specialist ever hand me out anything.
Rutterman · 46-50, M
@Justmeraeagain I don't get that. It seems negligent.
