Baby, I'm Worth It?

I've never been one for name brands, but finding it a life changer getting serious about nutrition and trying to get the best food I can for this thing called diabetes.

I'm researching almost every day and finding out something new.

It can be a bit overwhelming and trying to find something cheaper just for the sake of finding something cheaper is a bit too much to add to everything else.

We stick with chobani greek yogurt, 17 grams carbs per cup, 1 added sugar.
It's important to not have too much added sugars.
Will stick with pergo red sauces , skinny girl salad dressings, and other sauces/ condiments / dressings with no added sugars.

I know that my mission carb smart wraps have 16 grams carbs, only one gram added sugar.
This week we're going to switch bread. We're going to buy pepperidge farm whole wheat loaf bread, because it has tons of fiber, no added sugar, and two slices are 19 grams of carbs.

I learned this week that nitrates can contribute to insulin resistance.
So, its Hormel natural selection bacon and Jimmy Dean's all natural ground sausage from now on.
Probably, will have to change lunch meats as well.

I thought for a minute ,maybe we can't afford this?
But, then I thought ,I'm not going to be buying any kind of baking ingredients, nor anything processed, nor going out to eat much, nor buying pop; that should probably make things come out even.

Not to mention avoiding health problems that are also costly.
