Chh...changes

I have a stricter regiment concerning food now.
I'm told this is necessary while you're on insulin if you would like to get control of sugar.

So, 7 am sugar check/ belly pokes...💉

8am breakfast : protein, small amount of carbs (piece of whole wheat toast), and then depending on carb count ...I can add a few berries , glass of milk

I can no longer reach for food as comfort or just because I want it.🐷

There are carb free and low carb foods I can have:vegetables, most protein,
sf jello, pickles,olives, cheese, nuts..
🥦🥬🥚🧀🍗 🫖

But ,mostly I am not eating between meals.

12 is lunch, same formual ,all meals are.
Today is going to be a tuna wrap with veg, cutie orange, and water

5pm dinner may look like : piece of chicken, broccoli, 1/2 a potato, and fruit.

I have one snack and that is between 9-10 pm.

I find having this snack makes my blood sugars lower in the morning. 🌅

I cannot go any higher than 15 g of carbs, but it's better if it's zero to three grams.

So, anything from the list of foods above is what I'm going to have for a snack,mostly.
Tonight ,it's two boiled eggs. 🥚 🥚

This kind of thing used to drive me crazy and I didn't realize how anybody could live on a schedule for eating.
But, I'm doing okay.😃

Right now, at this time and place, I'm not missing the sweets and I'm very happy to be alive.♥

With the right spices even the simplest dishes can taste fantastic. Your menu is great. You're cutting the carbs but still eating delicious food. I hope your regimen generates positive results.

I took a elective class in nutrition in college,so have a little knowledge.
However,that was 12 years ago,sure it's changed some

I'm learning that it's the combination of foods, the amount of food, and consistent timing that works.

I do,but temptations lurks and I know it can get the better of me,so there's no junk in my house.
