🎶She fought the law and the law won🎶

The older granddaughter is now staying the week with us, as her babysitter is no longer available.
This is to get her to school and have someone there at night.

Her first punishment came today.

We bought a throw away phone that she could use to contact her dad or mom.

We emphasized,it was our phone, not hers and it wasn't to be in her possession unless she was making or receiving phone calls or playing games ( within time limits) and when not using it was to be left in living room, she decided to hide it in her bedroom.

So, she can't play games on it or call anyone for two days.
She can still receive calls and texts, but only from her mom and her dad.
We don't want to punish her by limiting contact with her parents,of course.
And of course we discussed it with our son.

She was calm about it and just said,"ok"
I wonder if she was testing us to see if we'd enforce the rules?

Probably. That's what kids do. They always test the boundaries. I hope everything turns out well. 🙂
