🎶Today, I Don't Feel Like Doing Anything🎶

Of course I did.
But ,I woke up with a massive headache and had to lay down for a bit until the medicine kicked in.
Which ,made me later than usual getting up.
Which led to my schedule being messed up.
Which really didn't lead to, but I'd like to claim it did, 🫤 to me not exercising this morning.

However, I was very busy.

I made homemade bread ,because we don't use commercial bread and we were out of bread.

My husband works nights so we sometimes have a bigger meal for lunch and then I have a sandwich or something for supper.
So, if making bread was not enough of a chore... I decided to make homemade chicken and dumplings which involved roasting the chicken, cutting it up, making gravy, and then dumplings.

I also had a lot of dishes afterwards to do.
And did I mention laundry?

So ,there you have all my excuses for not exercising today.🫣

But ,tomorrow is another day and I will try to get up early and I will make another effort.
This attitude ,in itself is a small victory.
I usually beat myself up and say I might as well give up ,but I'm not going to do that.

Wish me better luck, tomorrow.

Bread making doesn't have to be a chore. When I am home I bake three or four times a week. It takes three hours but only fifteen minutes of that is actual work. I use a bread maker to knead the dough and do the first proving (500 g of flour). Then I heat my oven to about 50⁰C and turn it off, shape the dough into eight rolls and put them in the oven to rise again for forty minutes. Then I just turn the oven up to 230⁰C with the fan running and set a timer for fifteen minutes. The timer turns off the heat and then I wait another ten minutes before opening the oven.

Total time spent actually working is probably only ten minutes.

And of course another way is to ferment a high hydration dough with very little yeast overnight and bake it in a closed cast iron pot. That takes even less work.

I imagine you know all this already, I've only posted it here because a lot of people are put off baking bread because they think it takes a lot of manual work.
