@OlderSometimesWiser It was. We got the recipe from one of the secretaries at the company I joined when we moved to Norway almost forty years ago. I've tried numerous others since then but always come back to this one.
@ninalanyon I loved my visit to Norway. Spent a few days in Oslo, then went to Myrdal and Flam via railway and from Flam via ferry to Bergen, where I also spent a few days. So beautiful. Loved all of Scandinavia.

@OlderSometimesWiser You've been to places I haven't :-)

I've been to Bergen but I drove instead of taking the train. It was pleasant but I'm glad I don't live on the west coast though, much too wet The west coast of Oslo fjord is much more comfortable.

I love living here even though I sometimes get fed up with winter being so long and summer so cool.
@ninalanyon Lol…. wish I could have visited your IKEA where you get that napoleon pastry! 😄

@OlderSometimesWiser You should have been able to get a napoleonskake in most cafes, at least the more traditional ones. They used to be easy to find in the UK too but of course they were not called Napoleon cakes but cream slices. I haven't seen one in the UK for decades though. No idea about other places, I wonder if they have them in France.
