Show me some photos to look at, please! [I Have a Blog]

Just dig through your phone's gallery and show me your finest work. Here's mine below. It's a photo of Allyson Felix. I would love to meet her. 馃嚭馃嚥

@stound Are these your photos?
@ArtyFischel they are indeed. from the past few days.

@stound Damn, those are great. I'm a photographer, too. I photograph insects, flowers, and mushrooms, mostly.
@ArtyFischel what sorts of gear are you using? I tend to prefer birds when I can find interesting ones.

@stound I have a Canon EOS 1300D. I only have a kit lens, but it's a great camera.
@ArtyFischel I don't really know much about canon; just that everyone has to start somewhere. I sometimes wonder what became of my first digital camera and it's amazing one (1 ! !!!) Megapixel resolution.

@stound Oddly enough, my phone's camera is actually better. I'm using an S20 5G. I think it's 32 MP, and it shoots in RAW format. It has its limits, but it's impressive.
@ArtyFischel wow. I kinda want the ultra20, I think it is... it has a 108MP sensor, but it fidgits around with stuff to drop that lots. and the 'space mode' 100x zoom... not that you could use it for much of anything. but it sounds cool. how wild would it be to need a remote camera trigger for your phone on a tripod? given that many (at least nikon) cameras can use the phone as a remote trigger/viewer.
ArtyFischel31-35, M
@stound I use my phone to trigger my Canon. I do that when I'm doing night photography, like star trails or something, when the shutter is open for a while. If I don't have my phone, I just set the timer on it.
@ArtyFischel yeah, I picked up a couple remote triggers, a wired and a wireless one. useful for stars or anything where you might bump it. I've heard of the timing trick being useful for some macro, super close, sensitive shots, too.

@stound I need to learn some tricks to keep the lens from fogging up at night. Some stuff works, but I'm usually out there for hours. When I have to wipe it down, it moves the camera, thus ruining any photo stacking I had planned.
@ArtyFischel huh. I thought that was only ever a problem when first going out. are you using prime or variable zoom lenses? most of my night stuff is with super short focals, so a bit of a wobble between shots isn't any big deal. there's some stuff for glasses called 'cat crap'... but research that lots, I dunno if it's terrible for lens glass. but I do know it's super effective as antifog. might screw with optics, tho.

@stound I'm just using the lens that came with it. I still haven't bought a new one yet. I'll check that stuff out. It'll be weird having "cat crap" in my search history.
