I Am Here to Be Anonymous

I am not totally against showing my face or revealing my name (first only) here to some people, but I prefer anonymity for the most part. I do not say or do anything here that I am ashamed of or should be ashamed of, just as I don't in the outside non-virtual world. The chances of someone from here in my town let alone someone who knows me personally being on this site is remote at best (everyone here is a FaceBook fanatic), but there are things that I prefer to keep private in the "real" world and I do share a good bit of it here. If by chance someone is here it is highly unlikely they would know it is me here too. I also do it for "security". That is why I will not reveal my full name, post any photos publicly, or reveal my exact city or location to anyone (though I don't mind telling which state I'm in)...and forget about address and phone number. That is why I chose this site, because I can come here and be myself, share some things with others, and still be mostly anonymous.

That's all fine. Anonymity is perfectly okay in this setting. I'll use my name since it's common, and my picture looks like a lot of people. (And it's from a few years ago)

@joe438 I have nothing against nor judge anyone who chooses not to be anonymous. I decided to post this because I said a lot of it in a response to a post a little while ago and when I clicked on the post comment button, the post had been removed (it said 'This post does not exist'), so I decided to put it in this group.
