If you have an 'alt' account anywhere (social media, dating site), is it the same 'sex' (lets call it 'assumed gender') as you are IRL, or different?

ie. if IRL you're male, you make an alt that's female, or vice versa, or something else?

What sort of social media and/or dating sites do you make alt accounts on?

How much time/energy/effort do you invest in your alt account(s) especially if they use different 'assumed gender' to your real sex/gender?

Do you actually get any value from having your alt accounts especially if they use a different 'assumed gender'? Is it all about subs/likes/validation/attention?

I have more than one gmail account but that's because I use them for my different hobby interests, personal/work comms, etc. and leftovers from when I ran my own business, etc.

People doing that are definitely narcissistic and think they're smarter than others..

Of course all narcissists are better than everyone else and the smartest people in their own minds
@GohantheThird uh, well I guess anything is possible
@AbsolutelyFabulous Just my experience is all. I deal with narcisistic people as well and while you are right, it's not always a narcissist.

@GohantheThird I would rate social media influencers (primarily women influencers) as the ultimate narcissists. Closely followed by people like Don Von Trump et al.
Ain't nobody nowhere got time for that shit!

I don’t have time for that
