My care level is about a 1 on a 1-10 scale where a 10 would be livid.

It's like a treasure hunt, digging through all the dreck for the worthwhile posts.

It makes me question evolution.

Usually it might give me the idea to try whatever it is they’re doing or eating drinking or places they’ve gone to. Many times I’ve felt left out or annoyed and sometimes even upset but most of the time it’s something I’m fascinated by or feel so so about.

No way - I never see them.

Having heard so much about people regretting what they had posted, I am glad that I never joined those sites.

@emmasfriend That's why I only subscribe to this one.

Used to make me envious. But honestly don’t use traditional social media anymore

Mostly bored. The less creativity the more responses. If you do respond to a post, 80% of the time they don't even acknowledge it, much less respond back. Except to their friends. And even though I've been around since EP days, people still shut me out.
Just seems like Facebook here now. The most shallow, mundane things get all the attention. Except arguments. There's butt kissing and petty behaviors, where we all used to communicate, share and compromise before.
I don't learn anything here anymore.

I'm going post a much longer answer. It's maddening actually keeping oneself to social media alone. At best it's a noice box where everthing bounces back
Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
I ignore 90% of it.
Most folk just want space to rant or express their joy over something personal to them.
But there are those who just want to bait a hook and cause aggravation.
If you're a frequent user of the site you learn pretty quickly who they are and avoid engagement.

@Picklebobble2 I think you have spoken for me. 👍

Social media literally covers EVERY opinion and EVERY viewpoint in existence. Agree with some and disagree with others. This question is too general to evoke an emotional response.
WAIT... OK... so this social media post annoys me. Being honest.

Mostly a waste of brain space and a snooze fest. Sometimes feel like I'm in grade school. Some are gross.
To quote ScreamingFox
But not on another site I prefer now. It's far superior.

It depends on what they're posting about. If it's just some update about their lives, I give it a little heart and don't think about it the rest of the day. If there's something concerning going on in their lives, I give them a little hug emoji, check in on them to make sure they're not going to do anything that would cause them harm, and then I go about my day. If it's something that makes me feel unsafe, watch out.
