Level of embarrassment: 10

21/12/2025, 22.46 (UK time)

Hi guys,

I'm writing this post as someone who was a member of a gore website from 2020 until yesterday.
Yesterday morning (20/12/2025) I got involved in a massive drama with some other users, which ended with me being banned from that website.

I had a lot of friends there (but also enemies lol, mostly trolls), so yesterday evening I posted a final goodbye and apology to that community using a secondary account (which is probably banned as well now, since it's against the rules to have more than one account there. I used that secondary account just to write my apology thread).

The reason I'm writing this post is... I am now curious to see if I got any reaction/reply to my apology thread. I am panicking atm, but I need to see if even one person understood my struggle and stood up for me.
So, I'm going to look now and I'll write an update. Sharing that mess here makes me feel less lonely and scared.

Good luck, @dareme...

Sometimes it is best to make a clean break lest what might be written about you upsets you immensely.
How will you feel if no one was on your side and there were only negative responses?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@dareme Then I caution you to let it go.
I'd feel very, very upset if people reacted badly to my apology.
Why tempt fate.
You have made the break, let it go.

@Gusman You're right.
Maybe in the future curiosity will get the best of me and I'll eventually slip and look, but I better follow your advice... especially now that the wound is still open. Thanks 🙃

@dareme You have made the right decision because there is no rush.
Give yourself time to remove the possible emotion which may be attached to your decision.
Glad to have offered you positive advice.
