Is this site dead?
Seems like a bunch of empty topics and not much else. Reddit is bigger. Why is this place deserted?
I think it has fewer users because the admin allows everyone to have multiple profiles. This leads to some members using all the profiles to bully others, or make it look like many other people agree with something they say, when in reality that isn't true. The option to give people downvotes also makes fewer people stay here,as well. 🤔
I like it because it is smaller, and the activity is a little slower, though.🙂

I've been here since 2016, so I've seen all the stages and era's of it.
It's always been a small obscure site, but there was a time a few years ago, it had more traffic and more content, especially more quality content. Many members have become inactive or deleted altogether. I could make a very long list of all the members that have gone. Plus it just doesn't grow. Those are the main reasons ( on the surface) that it is dead, imo..

Compared to Reddit yes it's very slow. Reddit has a lot more users, a lot of people do not know about this place.

@BurningBright yes I agree the mods aren't great there. I am only on a few groups and I don't post much there but I have gained some good information from Reddit.
There was more people at Experience project and I think because it took some time before this place was up and running there was some users that never made it here, but people come and go often here. I don't know how many actual active users there are because some could be alts. I think it's just that it's not a well know platform.

I you feel they are boring can you give examples and elaborate into how they are boring with a few examples of how they are perceived as boring in relation to other posts. I’m writing this under a good faith assumption you actually have either interacted or seen my post with enough context to say “they are boring” so how are my posts 🥱 boring? 😂

1) Reddit launched in 2005, SW launched in 2016... yes, 11 years later.
2) SW was never supposed to reach Reddit levels of popularity. It seems to be a site that mops up the traffic of whatever websites close down, since it's beginning was to give a home to members of another site after it closed down.
