In my circle of work/home/friends/bar I would never cross paths with the sad and the weird and the creepy that haunts this forum. I’d be sympathetic but you’re just too weird…

I agree that there are some next level weirdos, sickos and serious deviants on here but there are also a good number of very decent people who have never shown me any red flags. I'd be very glad to know and/or socialise with some of them.
