What's the most popular app for writing with friends online in the US?

@WandererTony I am so surprised that so many people from the US use Telegram, because it's the main app people use in Russia. I had no idea it was also used in the US. I don't trust it all, because I'm sure both Russia and Ukraine is trying to gather information on people via Telegram nowadays with the war, and it's important that my husband's address stays secret. 😕

@Nightwings if it can harm your husband, its an absolute no no.
I am no expert in security, so cannot advice on this requirement.

@WandererTony I don't know if it can, but we are a bit paranoid, which is probably a safe way to be lately. It's actually my birthday today, so I talked on the phone with my mother via Messenger, and had to call back 3 times because we got weird glitches with strange people suddenly talking (so loudly that it hurt my mother's ears lol) in our ptivate call – it was only my mother who heard it, on my end things sounded normal. Weird times.

And these cross connections can happen due to technical glitches. Not necessary that the other voices can hear you as well. Sounds scary that you wouldnt know when they hear your voice in their conversation. But I guess it is safe as they will not know who it is even if they heard your cozy conversations 😊

@WandererTony I really don't think anyone's listening, but they use people's normal internet here for military purposes, so that probably causes the glitches. It started happening all the time since the war broke out. I do think recruiters might check common apps like Viber and Telegram here, to find people thogh, so if by mistake someone mentions my address there, it could be bad. They are looking for my husband actively since he got a conscription letter. Like that foolish man pointes out, it's true that most civillian men here hide from the recruiters. They don't know how to fight, they can't do anything good on a battlefield, they likely won't even recieve training, and will be given the crappiest equipment you can imagine. Meanwhile Ukraine needs at least double the military we have lol. Conscription is so crazy now that civillians have started shooting the recruiters every day, so my husband and I just stay 100% away from all that madness.

@Nightwings All this is news to me. Never realised what it was like as i was more into what was happening in Palestine.

I can understand your views. And first time i heard this aspect of the situation.

@WandererTony I guess you will only hear about this from women who's men are in danger of conscription, and most Ukrainians do not even speak English. This is a problem inside the country itself, and people are obviously not going to say it out loud because they are hiding in the first place. It is fine for me to talk about on SW because I don't have my location or real identity connected to this account in any way.

@WandererTony I think some Americans (some, definitely not all), think and talk like that guy above, because they just have no idea what they are asking of people. They are basically asking people to die for little to no reason. They think life is a movie, or at least comparable to US military. It is very different. It is a very tragic situation.
