Do you think a complete ban on social media is coming?

It won’t surprise me because people taking what’s suppose to be good and turning into something that’s destroying minds, people and the world. I wouldn’t be surprised next if they go after Facebook. I remember when the world is simple and not out of control.

The democrat party only chose to ban tik tok because they could not control it's narrative. The owners chose to allow it to be a free speech platform for either side to express their opinions/findings.

The same thing happened with Elon Musk's X... They also threatened that if they could not take it away for themselves they would simply shut it down until they could. But they went the extra mile with him. Claiming they would take Tesla and all his companies that he owns.

I believe there will come a day that things aren't necessarily banned. But they're taken over with a single sided narrative. Though I believe we wont see that for at least 12 years. Hopefully longer though. But they've basically stated their intentions with it. Very loud and clear. If they can't control it, they don't want you to have access to it. This is the problem with "Big government" they continue to diminish your freedoms over everything, to the point you don't have a say or a choice in the matter.

@TrashCat A ban proposal is different than what the democrats implemented. Trump proposed just a straight up ban. Democrats sought to control narratives, to force propaganda with the platforms. And they did it not only with Tik Tok in their hopeful plans. But it's already been proven that they succeeded in forcing their narratives for years on Twitter and on Facebook. That's an extremely stark contrast between the two.

@greennature He's the one who has made the most technological advancements that many people are in use of now. If you've ever even used paypal once, and found it convenient. Elon musk was a part of that too. I don't feel people's arguments with that hold much weight when they make statements which only sound like they come from a place of either ignorance or being a hater, for haters sake...
