Someone can make a comment on one of my posts, or I get a notification that someone else has commented on another post, but when I go to follow up, I get a message "You are not allowed to view this profile". What's the deal?

Does mute work like that? I don't know. I've only seen the "you are not allowed to view this profile" message after I have blocked someone and press the back button.
