is this older peoples version of instagram?

This site can't be compared to Instagram, here, we not only post images of wonderful photographs, art, pets, and music, but we engage in sharing and exchanging ideas and impressions. Instagram is good for those who just want to share pictures of their vacation/ posing and wearing the latest trend ( influencers), a few videos showcasing their craft perhaps, things we easily find on YouTube. The interaction is scarce. SW has an age range from 13 to 80+, making it a place for many to feel they belong.

Where do you see pictures and videos? Image feed? Most don't go there for very good reasons.

It just seems like it because of the volume of catfish stealing pictures off of IG...

I think the main focus here is on conversation rather than photos.

Just like BrewcityBarfly said, there are many catfish here with pictures from Instagram.

I wouldn't know. I've never had an Instagram account. ☹
