Just finding new friends in this new place. And my boyfriend isn't too pleased

He's scared something bad could happen if I meet strangers in a new, unfamiliar city, as 1 month in is too soon.
Idk, that way, it's always scary to meet new people. Anyone could abduct, kidnap, kill me.
I plan to meet in broad daylight, in public place.
I don't even have money lol.
But idk, maybe he's right.
I mean, NOW I am scared.
Ugh. :(
I just feel so alone here. I feel like an alien.

@Moneyonmymind the problem isn't that it upsets him, it's that it upsets him because he's scared for my safety. I'm not going out to meet shady people, it's just people who are also new to town for work or degrees, and are exploring the city.
