I think people develop extreme/strong opinions as a result
Of too much online exposure. They come to think the world is like it is online where a lot of stranger folks reside, when really most people are pretty neutral and reasonable on most ideas and topics. Sometimes I can guess who hasn't left the house in a long time when I see the kinds of things they say.
Perhaps the world is becoming more inclined to that way of thinking with more people online than before?.
I find peace in not engaging in those sorts of topics, I find it rather invasive to hear about personal politics and such when enjoying my time outside of my obligations. I think if we don't have anything nice to say we should keep it to ourselves sometimes.
