When a tiktok is placed on TikTok

For those who don’t know. In April 2024, the United States House of Representatives included a provision in the 21st Century Peace through Strength Act to potentially ban TikTok unless ByteDance makes a qualified divestment of its subsidiary. That has been signed, so if nothing happens TikTok will be banned in the U.S.

Is that bad? I don't think so because there is so much garbage on that site and a number of others as well. Kids get addicted to those apps and don't move. They are glued to their screens and then society complains about obesity rather than to prohibit not only TikTok but all the other ones alike.
