Telegram Website Scam....

Tread lightly when dealing with fellow SW users who propose further communications on the Telegram platform... Personal information harvesting, scammers, data capture, stolen identity, account duplication, phone/ family scams!! Most are based out of India, Russia, or Africa!!

On my main app which is a language practice one, I do not even open messages from those places.

Sometimes they whine about being discriminated against on the app but it is like this - their nations are the worst ones for scammers.

Of course some of them want to claim to be American even though their English sucks. 😄
Then they often are like, "Will you marry me?" Like WTF?

More insidious are posts that are written in slightly too-perfect English and somehow don't seem to ring quite true. Those could be professionally written by State agencies.
