Minors in my feed

💯 I would like to see it mandatory to display your age, maybe even proof of age before you can use any parts of the adult section the site. I love adult chat but it horrifies me that I could be talking about these things with a child.

I just block them. I have no hate for them, but I post/upload sometimes adult things and don't want to any risks.

That is a huge problem here that the admins can’t fix without becoming intrusive and no longer being an anonymous site. I block the underage users .

I have the same filter enabled, but I've gotten some messages from people who later say they're minors, prompting a block on my part.

There should be a mandatory age requirement for UNDERAGE SW members, and a minor badge should appear. As a minimum, law enforcement pretending to be minors, would have a stronger case, when they bust SW pedophiles.

To be fair a bunch are probably dirty old men pretending to be kids.

Oooohhhhhhhhhh, I thought you were talking about Men that wear helmets with bright lights on them.

Not sure there is an answer, people lie on social media and very few people would want to share proof of age with the service provider.

Probably some sicko who is tired of pretending to be a woman.

I have doubts about some of those ages

It's always been an issue

the minor can always lie so ANY soultion wont work if THEY are being dishonest.
I do the same & when I find out they are underage I just politely tell them they can contact me when they are older (legal age) and move on
if they continue to DM ill have to block them especially since you never know who is actually on the keyboard

Personally I just play it by ear and block people that sound too Young in their posts

I don't think there is a way we can adjust it ourselves, it has to come from the site developers.

Question is, are they really minors or pretending to be?
A lot of people pretending to be what they are not!

the age can be hidden but they will be blocked regardless if they are underage.

There are no checks and balances when opening an account, one can put any birthdate they want.
Your concerns are very founded and one has to be careful, I don’t like blocking them, so have to memorize them so as not to interact.
I’ve always thought that without verification of age, those under legal age should not be able to open an account.

Not really....though you can usually guess...

It's pretty irritating. Esp bc I've seen cases where a minor deliberately picks the wrong age group to circumvent restrictions. I can't say much bc I did the same thing when I was that age like with YouTube and stuff.

{@carla] plus they must tell lies about there age when the join similar worlds. i have caught some out and asked them directly and outright there age and they are minors and nowhere near the eighteen too twenty the claim to be

Don’t reply and they will get bored and go away, if you are so against blocking.

Change it in the privacy settings, block all minors

I cheeses me off too. SW has an underage section for them to partake in . There is no need to enter the adult chat section to socialize here .

I try to avoid them ....often its too much pathetic drama for me to not go all 'buck up and get over it' on their ass.

I get that there are exceptions . There are some incredibly smart kids out there who just don't get along with their peers and need better conversation.
And I get some are genuinely seeking true adult advice for problems coz they can't ask in real life.

But most of them .....just shouldn't be here. They are all 'me me me' and get all whiney when given advice they asked for .....it worse - they.don't reply at all...it even knowledge they read your reply .
