I found that strange at first too because a former site I was on had forums and a separate chat room. The chat room eventually died from lack of people visiting.
The forums are cooler because you don’t have to be on at the same as people and still get a chuckle .
Just interact and you’ll find people to get along with and who get your weird humor.
If you don’t want to get along with people, then just post political stuff.
